Inspired and informed by Jonaven’s iconoclastic approach to riding, the Design features an equally iconoclastic approach to design—a directional twin with nose-shaped tip and tail for freeriding creatively and sessioning backcountry kickers. It’s also the lightest board in snowboarding according to a leading shred magazine, thanks to a pure carbon laminate system, air channels and a maximum amount of Low Density Control (LDC). The carbon and bamboo combo also step up the level of dynamic response to rider input.
Jonaven Moore is a rider who does things his own way. Whether its building a unique home out of a Canadian Railway caboose, or driving his vegetable-powered truck to AK to film heli, very little that Jonaven does conforms to a typical approach to life. Jonaven’s riding reflects the same attitude—big, gnarly lines in Alaska, soulful splitboard trips in the Interior with his mom, pillow lines on the side of the highway. When the snow melts out from this season, and all the film gets transferred, we’ll once again see his unique opinions of what is fun and important painted on the movie screen.
