Started in 1973 by northern California surfers, Rich Novak, Doug Haut and Jay Shuirman. Santa Cruz skateboards is privately owned right here in the US. Little bit of history, the "Screaming Hand" logo seen on most of the Santa Cruz skateboards, is the main logo of the team and was designed by Jim Phillips when the company was first founded.
